Jeff Chapman was born and raised in Kansas, in the center of the continental United States, where mowing the lawn means harvesting a wheat field. He writes software by day, and when he should be sleeping, he writes speculative fiction: fantasy, horror, ghost stories, anything creepy. A few years ago, Jeff survived a serious illness, which became a powerful kick in the behind to pursue his dreams of writing and publishing. The journey has begun, but it’s far from over. There are novels in his head, waiting to get out. When he’s not writing, he likes to read and spend time with his wife, children, and cats in a house with more books than bookshelf space.

Check out “Sixpence and Rye and a Snake in a Pie: A Fractured Nursery Rhyme.” This short story incorporates elements from the nursery rhyme “Sing a Song of Sixpence” into a cautionary tale of revenge gone horribly wrong.
